After treatment

While looking forward to finishing their cancer treatment and getting on with life, for some people, the end of treatment can also be a confusing or worrying time. They may feel nervous or upset at the thought of no longer seeing members of their health care team regularly or feel worried about what the future holds, and whether the cancer will come back.

Every person’s journey is different. Some people may have finished treatment recently, and others years ago.  Information in this section covers aspects such as follow up, recurrence, staying well after cancer and some psychological and practical issues.  It can be used as a starting point to find other helpful sources of information.
