Follow-up care

Cancer Australia has developed resources to support health professionals in providing best practice follow-up and survivorship care for women with breast cancer, including guidelines for shared follow-up care and managing fear of cancer recurrence.

With Australian breast cancer survival rates at an all-time high, Cancer Australia has developed a number of resources to ensure the 15,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer this year continue to live long, productive and healthy lives after treatment.

The following resources are designed to support health professionals in undertaking follow-up care.

Shared follow-up care

Cancer Australia

Cancer Australia was established by the Australian Government in 2006 to benefit all Australians affected by cancer, and their families and carers. Cancer Australia aims to reduce the impact of cancer, address disparities and improve outcomes for people affected by cancer by leading and coordinating national, evidence-based interventions across the continuum of care.
