Emotions

A A

You will likely go through many emotions as your treatment ends and your life starts to return to normal, including:

  • relief that treatment is over
  • feelings of loss – for changes in breast appearance or losing your breast(s )if you had a mastectomy, for the time you spent in treatment, or for some people, your chance to have children in the future
  • feelings of isolation
  • uncertainty about the future
  • anxiety and depression
  • fear of the cancer coming back

It’s important to acknowledge and understand that these are all valid feelings, and to take steps to address them.

Talk to your friends, family and treatment team, and seek the support you need to help you navigate these feelings.
