2024 Supporting people with cancer Grant initiative

Successful funding recipients for the 2024 round have been announced.

Five grants have been offered for Round 15 of the Supporting people with cancer grant initiative, totalling $0.52 million dollars to fund projects to improve support for people affected by cancer.

Cancer Australia’s Supporting people with cancer grant initiative provides community organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations with grants to support projects aimed at reducing the impact of cancer, improving access to quality information and providing support for people affected by cancer. 

For the first time, investment through the Supporting people with cancer grant initiative is guided by the strategic objectives of the Australian Cancer Plan (the Plan) with a focus on achieving equity in cancer experiences and outcomes for all Australians. This grant initiative supports implementation of the Plan through accelerating world-class cancer outcomes, experiences and equity for all people and all cancers across the cancer continuum.

Since 2005, the Australian Government, through Cancer Australia’s Supporting people with cancer grant initiative, has contributed over $12 million towards 142 community grants nationwide.
