This document supplements information contained in the Clinical practice guidelines for the management of advanced breast cancer, 2001. It incorporates published evidence to Feb 2013.

Purpose

This guideline includes statements and recommendations based on available, high-level evidence about the management of metastases in the central nervous system (CNS) in women with secondary breast cancer. 

The guideline provides health professionals with information designed to assist in making management recommendations for improved patient outcomes.
