Online GP Learning
Cancer screening is a new online interactive learning module which was developed by National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre* in collaboration with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Cancer Council Australia. Hosted on the RACGP's online learning platform, gplearning, it is an evidence-based educational module designed to support the central role that GPs play in discussing and managing cancer screening, including providing evidence-based information to patients so they can make an informed choice about participation in screening. The module covers screening principles and how they apply to population-based screening for cervical, breast and bowel cancers, and also includes information on surveillance of high-risk patients and counselling patients about appropriate cancer screening.
Completion of the activity is approved for 40 Category 1 points in the RACGP QI & CPD Program.
